Flights can be pretty tedious affairs. Unless you happen to have a trad group on board, that is.
Last night, a trad group decided to throw an impromptu session from Row 11 on the Ryanair flight from Copenhagen to Dublin, much to the delight of their fellow passengers.
Annemarie McGahon told DailyEdge.ie that the lads whipped out their fiddles in an effort to “cheer up the air hostess”.
Alan Doherty, who can be seen playing the flute in the video, got in touch with DailyEdge.ie to and explained that the group were returning from having performed at a friend’s party and were just “having the craic on the flight”. (Doherty plays with the group ALDOC, while he other musicians play with the band The Quarter Mile.)
If only they were booked to play on all Ryanair flights, eh?
